1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information required to operate the platform:

• Account information — if you sign in, your name, email address, and profile photo are provided by your identity provider (Google or email/password via Firebase Authentication). We do not have access to your Google account password.
• Portfolio data — if you use the Portfolio feature, the holdings you add (ticker symbol, quantity, price) are stored in your personal Firestore document, accessible only to your account.
• Usage data — standard web server logs may capture your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used only for security and basic operational diagnostics.

We do not collect payment information, government ID, phone numbers, or any sensitive personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your session
• Store and retrieve your portfolio holdings across devices
• Personalise your experience (e.g., your saved watchlist)
• Diagnose technical issues and maintain platform security

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any form of automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects on you.

3. Third-Party Services

TechnoFunda uses the following third-party services that may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication + Firestore) — handles sign-in and stores portfolio data. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• TradingView — chart embeds and widget previews. No personal data is shared; TradingView may set its own cookies when you interact with chart widgets. Governed by TradingView's Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Your IP address is visible to Google when fonts are fetched. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — the platform is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process your IP and request headers for security (DDoS protection). Governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Market data is sourced from public financial data providers. No personal information is transmitted to data providers.

4. Data Security

Authentication and portfolio storage are handled by Google Firebase, which uses industry-standard security (HTTPS, server-side encryption, access controls). Firestore security rules ensure each user can only read and write their own data — no user can access another user's portfolio.

Despite these measures, no internet transmission or storage system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

5. Cookies and Tracking

TechnoFunda does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services (such as Google Analytics) that identify you individually across websites.

The following functional data is stored locally in your browser:

• Firebase session token — stored in localStorage to keep you signed in between visits. Cleared when you sign out.
• Theme preference — your chosen display theme (Dark / Light / Navy) is stored in localStorage.

TradingView chart embeds may set their own cookies when you interact with them. You can disable third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core platform.

6. Data Retention

Your account data (name, email) is retained as long as your account exists. Portfolio holdings are retained until you delete them or close your account.

To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Portability — receive your portfolio data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing of your data (we process only what is necessary to operate the service)

8. Children's Privacy

TechnoFunda is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
